Seydou Koné will present Alpha Blondy in Teatro Vorteix in Buenos Aires with his latest album titled “Akwaba” (2005). This album has new versions of classics plus a few songs that are part of a total of 17 tracks. Alpha Blondy’s album has the presence of Sweet Sweet, Cocody Rock, DJ Neg Maroon and collaboration with UB40 for the “Young Guns” version.
The reggae singer, native of the Ivory Coast, is characterized by singing in various languages: English, Dioula, French and others. His lyrics often have political content. Seydou Koné was the inventor of the word “democratura” to criticize government systems through this word game that comes to mean Democracy + Dictatorship.
